removed for now (on front page)... just cause I thought the discussions were more important in that space.
Just have to find a good place for 'em. ;) They may go back up top like they were before "launch" day.

Probably the position selection. It is making room for centered text to the left of the image, which is pushing the image out of view.
You could consider using text instead of an image. Open character palette and look at the symbol characters, you might find something suitable.

I'd like to copy a fairly large iTunes library onto a portable hard drive. I don't want to remove the original files from where they reside, just make another copy.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ok, so here is the deal. I have recently found my old apple 2.1 iphone lying around from a couple years back. I'm currently on t-mobile and wanted to know how to unlock my iphone for the apps and ability to use on t-mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
--iphone 2.1 - Modem firmware 04.05.04_G (yes, this is probably outdated - havent been used in a long time )
--Itunes 10
--Mac OS X version 10.6.6
thank you

I didn't like him anyway...

I wouldn't. You could delete the unused videos inside the event. But you'll still need the videos in the event in order to edit later.Oops! Runs to go rummaging in the Trash. :o
Thanks They should be in Home Folder/Movies/iMovie Projects/your movie name. That file is a package containing the various formats of your project. You can just delete that file, or right(ctrl) click to have a look inside.
In iMovie if you delete just your Project and leave the Events, you can redo a project again, but if you delete just the Events, then the associated Project won't run. Thanks very much, I got my events back and deleted the projects. :)
Thanks for the info on where the different formats are hiding.

Still working on my random crashes...
in the meantime, is there a way - and if so, how do I do it - to burn a quicktime mov file to scd format on a cdrom that will play in a dvd player? A buddy and me are giant movie buffs, and what I would like to do is burn a cd of the new movie trailers on apple.com every week or so that I can then play on his dvd player.
(it would have to be a scd, as I don't have a superdrive, just a cd burner)
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

for important stuff I make sure to have multiple copies of it at different locations. TM is good for what it does, but I would not rely on it solely for critical data. Get a couple external/portables and use CCC/disk keeper/etc and encrypt them if necessary, and keep them in safe, separate locations and run when necessary

Why is it every time a celebrity dies Elton John's comments have to be quoted? Does any one care what he thinks? I bet he never even met her.

I'd guess, wrong part or incorrect installation, or both.

I've had no problem with the TDK 2x media in the 104 and 105 superdrives. Also, the Apple 2x and 4x media work as advertised.

1. Is this Mac OS X Server 10.6.6 that you're remarking about? If not, you posted in the wrong forum.
2. After the installation, did you repair your permissions?
3. How many files were you trying to copy? What format is the drive (i.e., FAT32)? Is it a USB drive or Firewire? Was the computer still attempting to copy the files in the morning or was it frozen?

You don't need to do the File --> Finalize Project. Just go to Share and Export Movie and then select the type of file you want. It will only save one file in the format you choose and not four different ones. See attached screen shots.

Now this looks like the Bioshock sequel they should have made in the first place!!
Just can't get myself to buy Bioshock2 for some reason...I think I'll go straight to this one!
