I have a question about inserting photos in your posts when using and iPad (pr iPhone for that mater). I just started using the DropBox app to upload photos to and then using a link to the file. But I was curious if I could do this using any of the services from MobileMe, which I'm paying for. There is the Gallery and iDisk available.
The problems I'm having are that the iDisk doesn't seem to let you upload photos to it, but it does create links to the file. And the Gallery let's you upload to it, but the files links it creates are to the phot's album on the MobileMe site, so the photos doesn't appear when I insert it in a post.
Am I missing something, or is Apple's premium service not as useful as I thought?

I have an iPad 1 and I am really wishing that there was more Ram in it so programs would run smoother and faster. So saw a hack that was suppose work with firmware before 4.2 but I was curious if there was a hack that would allow you to use your flash memory are virtual ram on 4.3.

A vector file has no property of resolution - the rendering device determines the dpi/ppi of the final output. If the vector file is "rough" looking in Illustrator at high magnification, then it will be rough no matter the output device, but I don't believe that's the issue - you did look at the file after vectorizing and cleaned it up a bit, as MisterMe pointed out, didn't you? Square corners tend to round off, straight lines sometimes have a bow in them, parallel lines aren't parallel, "skinnies" or gaps appear between objects that share a common edge, etc., etc. Look closely!
Live tracing a low resolution image - say <100ppi - will amplify these errors. However, increasing the "path fitting" in the Trace options to more than 1 or 2 pixels should not result in your path following the edge of the pixels exactly and producing "jaggies" in your vector result.
Some clients just like to throw the lingo around (as do print sales people) with no real understanding of the issue or the terms.
BTW, citizenzen, though the terms ppi and dpi have slightly different meanings in different contexts, your definition is askew. The distinction between DPI and PPI is that DPI refers to a single-bit dot, as in a laser imagesetter whereas PPI refers to a multi-bit entity, i.e an RGB pixel is usually 24-bit-per-pixel(dot). Pixels have depth, dots do not. Cameras have PPI, printers, even those printing in multiple colours, have DPI. The two terms are used interchangeably by most people in the industry, and most of us understand what is meant either way. An image has no "inherent" DPI, it is an artificial and arbitrary measure - i.e. it doesn't matter what the DPI actually is, what matters is how many pixels are in the source image. Not looking for an argument here, and I don't know how this point got in, but let's not make the water muddy with spurious definitions.
I too would like to see an illustration of the problem...

Yup, you just snap it back on. The hardest part is not worrying when it feels like you're going to break the poor thing. Had the same thing happen with a shift key on my ibook. Just puuussh (and lamaz breath if it helps)

someone gave me this theory one time, I don't buy it. I can't imagine that you aerodynamics would be afected by opening the SIDE windows. There is no air that flys into it (maybe something to do with pressure flowing across it), but I can't imagne that it would be a big deal. I would assume, certainly not as much of a mileage user as an air conditioning system would be.

Hi, i accidently format one part of my HD to exfat, and now can't read it, the thing was, when i formatted it into exFAT, i was able to use it and move my data into my HD, but now, the HD doesn't even appear on my Mac, just wondering if there is a way i can copy all my data without trying to find a compatible windows machine, i do have windows 7 on my mac tho, if it helps.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The entrydoor is in the top right corner, and there is a SLIDING door in the bottom right corner, not a window. Stupid me forgot to mention that. Also, on the right wall as soon as you walk in, there is a double door closet, so nothing can go there. Like the idea Snow, but its back to the drawing board lol.

I'm looking for an USB hub or two and a external Blu Ray reader(don't need a burner). I could go for an external enclosure and just take my bluray reader out of my PC and use it in that. But either will work.
Between an imac and the hubs I need a total of 10 USB ports. Would be nice if they were powered so I can charge the ipad.
Any good suggestions?
as far as usb ports are concerned i got a little white belkin from like ebay if i remember right and it has about 7 usb ports plus i use my 2 20" cinema displays because they both have 2 i believe?
look on new egg for an external case, or post in the market place!
good luck

I have a 2.7ghz G5 and 4 months after buying it i'm now finding it a little sluggish. I've just done an xbench and it on average scores 106 compared to a 2ghz G5 (at 100) !! The finder is having problems changing between windows and I get beachballs randomly with simple tasks. Personally I blame 10.4.2 and perhaps dodgy crucial memory.
I would freshen up your system when 10.4.3 is released, maybe do a clean install. Consider a new graphics card ?
Then If you want to wait for the next best. Wait for an Intel Powermac since graphics cards etc are likely to be better aswell as speedier processors (although I expect most software updates to intel won't be free)

I know nothing is announced for Lion.
The upgrade for Snow Leopard is currently 26 on the UK store. I'm just wondering if it's typically around this price at launch, or if they launch at a high price then drop?
