Manager said if you're in line at closing and they still have what you want in stock, you'll get it.

I am experiencing a 90 + second delay between menu sleep and the iMac actually going to sleep.

My understanding is that the SSD (as well as HD) will be powered off completely when entering the sleep mode, thus it should not use any power at all.

Even on Mac osx?
Yes. Refer to the post below.
First you need to download and install the CUDA Drivers from nVidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html
You should already be running the latest version of BOINC.
Once you have done these things, you, in theory are ready to start using your GPU in OSX BOINC to crunch stuff.....
Why isn't it crunching?
Because no apps inside of BOINC (Seti@home, Aqua@home, etc etc etc) have been re-written to take advantage of CUDA on the mac.
It seems Einstein@home is getting close, but for the moment (As of Feb 6th, 2010) nothing in the OSX BOINC world supports CUDA, or OpenCL. Not to be a downer, but don't expect that to change anytime soon. There just aren't enough volunteers with programming knowledge (or programmers that own the proper hardware to test their knowlege) in this area to make it happen quickly.
Please refer to this post. Only a few number of projects can use CUDA on a mac, Collatz Conjecture is one of them that is available right now

Do you mean Super Video CD? I believe that Toast can make them.
That's a fact. I used toast (version 5 at the time) to make SVCDs on my old iMac G3 and it works fine. Toast can use most quicktime supported movie formats.
You can put approx. half an hour of motion pictures on a CD-R

A 2x Teleconverter with only one exception will (a) generally suck in terms of image quality and (b) be generally useless on a lens that doesn't have an aperture of f/2.8 or wider. Your lens is f/5.6 at the long end, so that's a non-starter.
The one exception is the newest Nikon TC-20E-III, which has the best image quality of any 2x TC ever made by a large margin. It still wouldn't help with the light loss though. You lose two stops of light with a 2x TC- that would put your lens at f/11- no autofocus there for sure.
The Sigma 50-500mm lens is about the cheapest way to get more distance in a zoom, but it's also going to need a lot of light when zoomed all the way.

About time wireless sync came to iOS 4. As good as the iPhone is it is really archaic to have to plug in to sync everything. We shouldn't have to over pay for MobileMe to wireless sync in our own homes!
But wireless syncing for the iPhone hasn't come yet.. Maybe for BB/..

Hmm, that is even more confusing because I got the $134 education discount on the Apple's site.
Those numbers don't sound right. $2349? Apple doesn't sell anything at that price point unless you have 27" configured with some BTO

OK. So, I did multi camming, then rendered, thus removing the extra ends of the videos.
So, pretty much... editing the cuts between angles, since this is a moving camera(some parts suck) then it'd speed the click or vice versa.

I'm interested but your price is too high. Amazon offers it for ~$78 shipped. Would you do $50?

someone gave me this theory one time, I don't buy it. I can't imagine that you aerodynamics would be afected by opening the SIDE windows. There is no air that flys into it (maybe something to do with pressure flowing across it), but I can't imagne that it would be a big deal. I would assume, certainly not as much of a mileage user as an air conditioning system would be.

I can't wait for it to get smaller and recognize speech. It would stop a lot of arguments over whats true in my family.

Glad you are enjoying yourself - it seems you are easily amused.
It is not always safe to assume that through the backup/restore process that every little thing is backed up - many manufacturers treat SMS messages differently - I wanted to be sure.
Thank you for making me feel welcome.
I apologize, and was giving a kind ribbing (hence the :D)
Did not know you'd take it do seriously. Welcome to MR.

I preordered my copy and am installing it now, but I'm still going to the Apple store tonight for the experience and the t-shirt. Hopefully I'll have some time to play with Leopard before 6. What a great day!

some people obviously have too much time on their hands (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5614422275)
can someone teach me how to make a URL link link that?
Anyway, maybe there should be a "wacky E Bay auctions" thread on here.
I find them to be soooo amusing.

I just like the idea of being Administrator. Is it bad? I don't have another username, as I wanted to use the root as my only account.
Should I just make a new username?
