I use SubEthaEdit only. Just my pref. There are some CSS editors out that that provide a live preview of the style you are creating. You might want to have a look at those.

I think it should be kept. It gives a good indicator of the member's status. In fact, I think it should be expanded.
Now, this may seem a bit extreme...however, what about this? When a member is in "Time-Out," there is also a link to the offending post(s) by that member. That way, we can not only see that they are in "time-out" but also what they posted to get themselves into that status.
Here's how it would work: The offending posts are deleted from the thread in question, as per normal policy. A moderator moves those offending post(s) to a hidden section of MacRumors, visible only to moderators. Let's call it the, "Evidence" section. When the member is in "time-out," there is an active link to those specific posts stored in the Evidence section. Anyone on MacRumors can click on the link to see those posts (only those specific posts, nothing else).
When the member did his time and returns to active status in the MacRumors community, the "time-out" designator is removed (along with the link to the offending posts). At this point, there is no record for the general community to see. This member looks like any other member on MacRumors. If this member does something, again, to get himself into a "time-out" status, this process repeats. However, the link to the offending posts would only be to his/her current infraction(s)...not the previous ones.
The Evidence section could be maintained as a record of every post that had to be deleted by moderators. That way, moderators can easily see all of the previous infractions that any given member had. Kind of like in real life where the police maintain a criminal history report on people.

Rubin's comments about what Google collects/allows come off surprisingly evasive, and the way he keeps hiding behind "well, it's open source" is an annoying red herring (surprised they didn't call him out for that.)
Jobs' comments are a lot more definite and reassuring but only truthful as long as it's shown that Apple isn't collecting location info from the iPhone database. If Apple is collecting that info then he's full of crap.

Hello freedomb,
It sounds as though your client isn't happy with the job that Live Trace did, and I'm guessing that depends on what kind of image you have been supplied. E.g. a monochrome caricature is an ideal candidate for a Live Trace, but a company logo generally won't fare so well. You might need to spend some time adapting / redrawing the parts that Live Trace has failed on. It is hard to make a proper judgement without some further details.
Cheers,
Razzerman

I have a dvd burner but no second hard drive.

im not to sure how this is relevant. form controls can be controlled via CSS
we do it on all of our sites.
and why would you want them to look prettier against what the site has designed ? the design we choose for our form controls via CSS are designs that fit in with the rest of the site. things like color, control border thinkness, flat, 3d, etc... are all part of layout design
this is like being able to adjust the size of text on a web page after the page has rendered. its fine if your eyes are bad and need bigger text to read it, but the web developers chose that size text cause thats what goes with the site. not cause they just happened to like 10 or 12 point fonts.
just a view.

When you use custom subclasses in your interface, or add outlets and actions to a controller, you can use Assistant to work on your interface design and your interface code at the same time. To do so, select your nib file in the project navigator to open Interface Builder and click the Assistant button to open the Assistant editor pane. If the Assistant editor does not automatically display the header file you want, use the Assistant editor pane jump bar to select the source file containing the controller code for the object. Figure 4-8 shows a window with a graphic view selected in Interface Builder and the header file for the graphic view being chosen from the Automatic mode of Assistant. By default, the Assistant editor pane is displayed below the Interface Builder editor. Choose View > Assistant Layout to switch between a vertical or horizontal split for the two editor panes.
Now, where the hell is this Assistant button to open the Assistant Editor pane?

A link to what? A summary of Climategate? I'll let you flex your google-muscles on that one.

From Apple HK:
My new BTO Air (1.6/4/128)'s shipping was estimated at 3 days, ordered on Friday. It and the ext SuperDrive both shipped by Monday and arrived at my doorstep on Wednesday. (SD shipped from Singapore, Mac shipped from Shanghai)
I guess it depends where the item ships from. If it's from the US (some people have reported that Apple refurbs ship from the US now, some say China) then I guess it should be similar since the estimated shipping time is the same. From China I'd add a few days to the equation.
BTW refurbs only come in a plain white box, no retail packaging, so if you're planning on giving this as a gift, keep that in mind.

Have you taken a look at Garage Band's tutorials yet?
http://www.apple.com/support/ilife/tutorials/garageband/index.html
You could also try Audacity.
Anyway, what you want to do is easy to accomplish if you at least know the programs a bit.
Btw, you could also use QuickTime Player X (if you have mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard), open song 1, trim* it and save it as song 1a, then do the same to song 2, 3 and 4 and then later combine the songs in QT Player again. Or Audacity. Or Garage Band.
* Change IN and OUT points, meaning cutting something from the beginning and from the end.

By replace, do you mean you just purchased the Rev C, or you were sent a Rev C because there was a problem with your Rev A?
I was sent a RevC as a replacement for a RevA d/t lots of problems with my RevA:
-Hard drive died
-logic board failed
-disk drive broke 2X
I basically was without my iMac in some form or another for a long time (August - October).

Ditto. I just want iOS 5. I couldn't care less about any hardware upgrades.

What does this say about Haim Levine [Sheens nickname for Lorre, whose real name is Charles Levine] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot cant handle my power and cant handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.
