There is a technique to upgrading the RAM of the computer that often goes amiss for those who do it themselves. There is a flathead plastic screw between the function keys that if it isn't turned back right, the keys get loose. To add to the confusion there is another screw underneath a magnet that needs to be placed back the right direction when finishing the job. The magnet is under the keyboard. Better to let an authorized technician do the RAM update than anybody else.

Use the transfer purchases function.
You can still get your apps back just Download them again in iTunes, it will look like it will charge you, but once you click buy it will say you've already purchased and allow you to get it again. Doesn't work for music and videos tho.

Can someone please tell me how to crop (zoom) and move a photo in Final Cut Pro, like you can in Sony Vegas or iMovie? I'd appreciate it greatly.

Great. But I care about 1 thing: fix the Spaces issues.
The Office applications (both 2004 and 2008) are the single WORST performing applications I have ever used on a Mac.
Seriously, for a company with the resources that Microsoft has, is it really too much to ask for spaces to work properly? Every other app works with spaces without a glitch, why doesn't office?
Switch to another application in spaces and go back to the previous office document: document moves to god knows which space. Same with the toolbox: have it open and who knows what might happen.
Will this ever get addressed?
The spaces issue was fixed just before snow leopard, Apple sorted it? I have been fine with this issue certainly since Snow Leopard.

I preferred it as on the original Apples it was always referred to as the Apple key. Also it makes things easier when giving someone instructions over the phone. Now instead of saying let's say Apple S I have to say Command S. Then they say "what is command?", no one ever knows what the command key is. To which I have to reply the key by the space bar with the little box and four circles.

No, the BBC story said that he was hit in the head
Not yesterday morning it didn't. They do update their news so I'm sure they have it right by now.

Came across this video someone took right outside the Apple Store in Tokyo. Not really much to see but thought I'd pass it along:

Yes, as you said, not much to see. Did they evacuate the store?

Since they sold out yesterday, I came back this morning. Standing in a line of about 25 people waiting on the chance that a truck MIGHT come today and that it MIGHT have Ipad2's on it. Guess that makes me and isheep or ilemming

Another question:
Should I invest in BBEdit?
I already downloaded SEEdit (Free) and have a friend that does all his work in Text Edit.
Any advantages to something expensive like BBEdit?
Tired of my company Websites looking like a third grader did them.
BBEdit is overpriced. Don't buy it. I made the mistake of buying it and I don't even use it anymore. I mean it was my favorite text editor... until I discovered Textmate (www.macromates.com). A lot of BBEdit users are moving to Textmate and loving it.
As others said, Jeffrey Zeldman's "Designing with Web Standards" is a great book.
Other really good CSS books include:
"Web Standard Solutions" by Dan Cederholm
"Bulletproof Web Design" by Dan Cederholm
"Professional CSS" by (a few authors)

I love the privacy controls on Facebook and the fact that I can create different rules for different groups. Is there a way to prevent a group/person from tagging me in their photos? So far that's the only thing I haven't figured out how to do with the Facebook privacy controls. Thanks!

I had an old broken mini knocking about. It was a pretty useless paper weight so I wanted to do something more creative with it.
This what I got, still yet to make the base, but basically, hollowed it out then disassembled then reassembled the clickwheel so it took less space. Now I think I am going to gift it to my tutor (also a big apple fan) when I leave school:

Also, if you are in need of a platform to scale as you add other device OS's then take a look at AirWatch. My company has used this platform for ipad enterprise security (http://air-watch.com/platforms/iphone/devicesecurity.html) and had real good feedback from the field.
