All in all, a fantastic Christmas. It's been a very hard year for me and my family; but you certainly wouldn't be able to tell today. I'm very, very grateful for my wonderful and loving family, and am very glad that I could see all my family over the last couple days.

I don't know about the US, but in Germany it is illegal for a manufacturer to demand a minimum resale price or to sanction resellers for their pricing.

Missed their chance when Apple didn't approve the improved Google maps app the first time it was available. Now it has improved even more while Maps.app has done nothing, and I'm sure Google has withdrawn the app now that they are doing their own phone OS.
Come on Apple - give us a nice surprise.
What you seem to be referring to is Google Voice. Google never developed turn-by-turn directions for iOS, and I don't think they plan to develop it. Google Maps gives Android a big competitive advantage, so I don't think Google is every going to port it over to iOS.
Apple bought out Placebase and a couple of other mapping companies. It's time Apple put them to use and get away from as many of Google's services/apps as possible.

well here is the damage.
I cant get the old paste off the gpu as its baked on hard! I've managed to clean the heatsink of the remnants though.
Will applying a layer to the the GPU be enough? Will the remaining contact area of new paste be effective or is it FUBAR?
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) and qtips can't get more of the paste off? I've read about people using a razor blade before to scrape it off, or use acetone, or even a hair dryer. You might wait for someone with actual experience removing the old stubborn stuff to post a reply, I'm just repeating what I've read elsewhere.
I also see Artic Silver makes a 2 step cleaning kit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-CPU+Thermal+Paste+/+Grease-_-Arctic+Silver-_-35100010

I work for an AT&T retailer and YES we do offer insurance on the iphone. ATT will NOT insure it due to the overwhelming demand for it, they would lose so much money forked out to ppl for stolen iPhones. Apple Care is NOT insurance it is just an extended warranty!

Is there a good app that I can use to move files to and from my iPhone without having to use iTunes.

Called it as soon as I read it on the front page. At least 50% of the posts reading 2G as 2GB (most of course with tongue planted firmly in cheek). Still what a waste of bandwidth. Is it really that much harder to type 2nd Gen instead of 2G?
