I just got the Shivering Isles exp off Xbox Live and it is turning out to be quite fun. It kinda re inspired me to play the game again. I noticed the improved shader effects on the update since i last played which looks rather good in 1080 i. Any way I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG/adventure games. :D

No mention of gameplay style, games, etc.

well it's about the olympics so that kinda gives a good idea of what games/sports are possible it's not like it's something obscure to imagine

actually sprinting, swimming and table tennis got mentioned so i kinda hope they add as many as possible... especially the not so well known

I sent you a PM a few days ago about this, wondering why you'd want a song completely removed.

The 27 is amazing. I got one about a month ago. The only thing is it spoils you. I used a 21 at work and it feels so small.

Screw that. I vote they move towards a naming system like with OSX. Instead of using big cats, they use fruit.

Next iteration of iPhone = iPhone Banana.
    After that, iPhone Papaya.
The full name Apple iPhone Banana makes it sound like the device is edible.

    Hi everybody,

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.11 on an Intel Macbook and am having the following problem: the left click seems to be "locked", i.e. wherever I move the cursor it is as if I had done a left click and was holding the button down. The result is that selection windows appear all the time. This happens both when I use the trackpad and when I use an external mouse, so it seems to be a problem in the system. I have tried the following things without success:

    - restart the computer
    - reset the mouse/trackpad via system preferences
    - reset the trackpad by putting my palm on it

I'd be happy if someone could help me on this issue.

    Robert

I have an Elgalto EyeTV DTT stick that I purchased around a year ago. The problem is that I heard it could be ran on windows 7 but I'm having no luck.
I have a windows 7 ultimate boot camp setup on my mac if your wondering.
I've checked in device manager and the device appears as "EYETV DTT".
There are no drivers available and I can't find them anywhere. None were provided on the installation disc.
And according to Elgato the "EYETV DTT" can run on windows but on the box it only has a macintosh symbol:/

This isn't the really small new version its the one that is about 3.5" inches in length and has a removable antenna.
Anyone know a solution or be able to point me to a driver download?

I looked at the error log file specifically for smtp and it says the following:

    server postfix/master[38346]: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: server.mydomain.com.

server postfix/master[38322]: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter myhostname: bad parameter value: server.mydomain.com

I know that these are settings in the /etc/postfix/main.cf file but unsure where in the file the error is and how to fix it?

The screen of the MBA is better to program on than the MBP. The extra resolution (1440x900 over 1280x800) makes it so more code is up on screen at a time, which is something I like (I hate scrolling or switching windows).

However, both are far from ideal, most of my programming is done when connected to my external monitor (a beast with 2048x1156 resolution). If I could afford dual 1920x1200 screens, I would go for that as both the current MBA and MBP can drive such displays without any problem.

If you want to start reading up on it now, you can always install GNUStep on your current computer. It implements much of the Foundation classes. However, be warned that it is based on Objective-C 1.x and thus lacks some features (@property and @synthesize for one) and some of the Foundation classes are implemented differently from Apple's implementation. It should still let you delve in the beginning chapters without too much effort.

Back when I was really into video editing, nothing made me angrier than the youtube users who get tens of millions of views simply by uploading a pop song with some weird static image.

    What's your point?

It's not like these people are 'stealing' views from you, they came to listen to music and that's what they're doing. It sounds like you're just obsessing over numbers.

I used to subscribe to a few users who were uploading videos of DLC charts from Rock Band, I actually got in to a lot of bands seeing their music being advertised in this way and as a result have bought CDs are DLC. These people were not partners, they weren't making any money of it. Now most have had their (multiple) accounts banned. Is losing a potential revenue stream which was never a financial threat to begin productive?

It seems to me that copyright owners are losing sight of anything which isn't cash in their hands, they seem to be threatened by anything which doesn't produce an instant turnover.

My point to all this is that while intellectual property rights are important, I think content owners should consider when enforcing them is actually the logical thing to do.

I understand the need for separation on a system wide basis but not between processes being controlled by the same app.

Your chances of recovering deleted files are slim under OSX.

    http://www.prosoftengineering.com/products/data_rescue_info.php
"Q: Can Data Rescue recover a file I just deleted (I'm running Mac OS X)?
A: No, there is no tool on the market that can recover deleted files without being loaded ahead-of-time. OS X (UNIX) writes over your deleted file immediately, impeding recovery (this was different in previous operating systems that were not based on UNIX). Our other product, Data Recycler can prevent this from happening by protecting you from this type of data loss in the future."

    Thanks
