People don't seem to have a problem paying 24.99 for the lame Belkin cases...and these come with much more, and from a much better company with way better customer service. I'll support switcheasy any day of the week.

what happens to the current models? The current ones will be slightly cheaper, even more so on Refurb.

Do the prices go up for the new models, or do they stay about the same as the ones listed now? Typically they will stay the same price, just rev up the specs. Hopefully we are talking SandyBridge and ThunderBolt

The first thing to do would be to read the stickies at the top of the forum. They will have book suggestions. If you are totally new to programming, you might actually want to learn programming before you delve into OOP and iOS programming. iOS development is not something you can just drag and drop a few objects around and have a best-selling app. You need to actually know about control structures, blocks, memory management, etc.. etc..
A good starting point would be to learn C. Objective-C is a superset to C that adds an object-oriented framework (classes with their variables/methods).
As for the hardware : either, it doesn't matter. Programming is not something that is especially hardware intensive and any Intel Mac can be used for iOS development, so your choice here should probably be based on your budget and other needs.
As for design, no, the basic controls are all provided by the UIKit framework. No need to "design" any graphics for basic applications.

Apple will post a recorded, and edited, copy of the keynote in the afternoon, usually a few hours after it ended. It won't be live on their site, but I think Iphonealley.com is doing an actual live stream.

First of all, AT&T only recently allowed MMS in the U.S. Why would they, just a year later, allow something that puts such an incredibly heavy strain on an already overburdened network?
Second, a videophone is only useful if more than a small percentage of people out there actually have it. Until then, it's really just a gimmick.
It's bad enough that people wander around talking on cell phones, completely oblivious to other people and traffic. Imagine what happens when they're doing that and looking at their phone screen at the same time. I smell anarchy.

Apple has really missed the boat with Sketch/Search feature. Would be infinitely useful inside Google Maps.
Guess we need an app for it.
Sketch to search is a great idea. Much better than what i thought when I read the title: you draw something on your iphone and yahoo searches for the item you drew. This is much better.

Just to chime back in on this one - as with the previous poster, the first update to DP2 worked flawlessly for me too. I wonder how/if we'll know when Apple fix the download...?
