Bought it or built it myself. A man has to have a hobby. ;) I fold with Team MacOS X. Calling all Mac folders. Please spread the SMP client news (http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=16715&highlight=) far and wide. Oh, did I mention it is SPEEDY and worth your time?! Can you say NATIVE?! I thought so. Now GO! :D

ha! i actually bought this cd off itunes a few months ago. could do with some more sequencing and layering. but what it is great for is sampling. i took one of the ink cartridge hitting the side of the caseing sounds and processed it into a kick drum. heres a rough mix.

The only logical thing, should anything get released, would be Final Cut Server.
Other related products are DVD Studio Pro 5, Blu-Ray Drives, Phenomenon (Shake Successor) and Cinema Displays. I do not expect the first three until NAB at the earliest. The Displays maybe at the developers conference.

I've been using Keynote lately for work presentations. It's annoying not to be able to give them to PC co-workers. PPT such a piece of crap, and i'd like to be able to use keynote more, but sadly it's not super useful anywhere other than my computer.

I now export to Quicktime using custom settings depending on application. You still get the basic interactivity- and the good looks. (PPT users are still doing their red on blue ghastly designs with slide in/out transitions!)

Based on reviews, specifications, and recommendations, I think I'm gonna go with the Crucial C300 256GB. It's $474 from Amazon, has decent reviews on there and around the web (that I've seen), and looks like it'll do the job great.
I'm not going to place my order quite yet though - try and talk me out of it! Haha.

I too second onyx (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11582/onyx). It's a great app for clearing out caches, logs, checking disks and tweaking some of OS X features.
What are the logs for ?

Just to put my exrierence out there i had, yours look like an exact picture of mine and then i when i sent mine in to get the screen fixed they would not do it due to the fact that the damage could be down in the logic board. So i ended up paying the 250 for the replacement.

Question about incase slider, is it as bad with bubbling up screen protectors as I've heard? The case is EXACTLY what I've been looking for but I NEED a screen protector. I've been looking at the power source hd anti glare.
definitely terrible. For sure won't work with anything other than a crystal screen protector (since everything else is thicker) and its gotta be good quality thats cut basically perfect. (cheapies will not work 99% of the time) and youll prolly have to apply the shield with the case on unless u got lucky or did a really good job.

you could also use adiumx as your chat program if you don't already. there is a script you can download to control hidden dock prefs, etc, that would let you turn that on and off.

so im going to italy from california and i was thinking of getting a psp game for the plane rides. these are pretty darn long - 10 hours (i dunno). so for there and back 10 hours after subtracting listening to ipod and socializing. what game would you recommend?

The iPod touch bluetooth only works for headphones. There's no profile for anything else...
The blurb for the iTouch iOS4 upgrade blurb (http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ios4-software-update.html) indicates that bluetooth functionality has been extended to include keyboards. Unfortunately, I have tested this on a 2gen itouch using two non apple keyboards that worked with an ipad, but they did not "discover" although there was indication that a dialog had transpired.
Very disappointing... anyone know anything more about what the ios4 brings to the BT table and if the 2gen is even included?

The iMac is beating all those PCs... and the eMac and PowerMac are doing nicely too! Even more Macs are in the top 20-30 if you keep scrolling.
And I just checked the laptops... 6 of the top 15 notebooks are from Apple, including 3 in the top 10. All of Apple's laptop models/sizes (maybe not every speed variation) are found in the top 25, even the 17" PowerBook.
And in the general "Computers" category, accessories are all on top (lots of wireless gear), with the 15GB iPod at number one. 2 of the top 10 items are iPods. 5 of the top 20 are Apple products, including AirPort Express and two colors of iPod Mini--which would no doubt rank much higher if the colors were counted together.
So I looked at "Electronics."--a very broad group with cameras, PDAs, computer peripherals, phones, and everything. Cheap little flash cards rank high of course. Even so, the iPod's #3 there. Only three music players make the top 30--and two of them are iPods, both outranking a Rio. Keep going down the ranks and you see lots more iPods--and only a few other players.

I got a new 12" PB, and its stays very cool, unless your running some intense programs, like 3D games (i.e. Unreal Tournament 2004).
